Niman Ranch natural pork is raised from a cross of heritage breeds which include Chester White, Duroc and Berkshire. All Niman Ranch pigs are humanely raised according to the strictest animal handling protocols.  These protocols were written based on the recommendations of animal handling expert Dr. Temple Grandin.  All Niman Ranch livestock are raised outdoors or in deeply bedded pens and are able to express their natural instinctive behaviors.

Our animals have continual access to food and water and they spend their entire lives with their litter mates and natural social groups.  Uniquely recognized for rich flavor and juiciness, this pork is raised on family farms, with 100% traceability to parent stock.
